At the center of the film are the relatable characters and personalities who we can recognize in everyday people, experiences, and ourselves. A Moment with You is a sincere glimpse of people, experiences, and relationships as they begin and end for some, while often continuing on for others.

Arthur and Dustin are neighbors. While both seem to be opposites in character, Arthur being shy and quiet while Dustin is active and outgoing, they experience very similar situations in their relationships. Being single all his life, Arthur meets Alice, an exciting and unpredictable girl. Unfortunately, her heart still lies with a past boyfriend. Likewise, Dustin has the opportunity to find love with an old friend, Natalie, but is burdened by the memory of a past relationship he never let go. Everyone has a role in relationships – the chasing or the chased, the heartbreaker or the heartbroken. These roles are constantly changing and often one can simultaneously have more than one role. From their morning chats on the porch, Arthur and Dustin slowly learn from each other that with love and relationships, there is never any certainty.
